Author's Life Update

I logged into my Patreon and found that I still have patrons. I'm floored, humbled, and slightly ashamed. What is the point of having a Patreon page if I'm not doing anything? I'm unsure if I should close it or just let it be.

Writing creatively has become so distant to me right now. I'm consumed with work and other responsibilities. But that shouldn't be an excuse if you love writing, right?

This is a bit of a self-reflection for me more than a simple hello. I just miss my readers and what I used to be passionate about. I hope and pray to find my way back.

I haven’t been writing anything for last month because well, I kinda accidentally found myself a job. Eeek! I know, I was shocked too that. I thought I was going to spend all day writing my books but now I have to get back to the office life. But the pay is better. 🥲

I have talked about finishing my latest book 'Hades' in the previous post. But now I'm going to give you a small detail of how I decided to write this story.  Well, normally my mind couldn't keep still, so it always wanders around looking for new story ideas. I have always been fascinated by the Greek mythology. It's full of wonders and surprising twists. Every tale has its own consequences. Planning to Publish Another Book Soon!

Artist: unknown So I have been busy preparing three of my manuscripts for publishing. It's been a very hideous job editing and formatting all by myself. I'm still relatively new to the idea of being an indie author. But it's not that difficult once you stick with the problem long enough. As a result, I've released a kindle version of three books so far on Amazon. You can find out more details about them on the sidebar of my blog. I tried to price the books as low as possible so that my readers could have access to them. I know that most of my audience are teenagers or in their early 20s. Life is hard during that time and not to mention their financial stability. I've always writing for free for over three years now. And profit isn't the reason why I started writing. My First NaNoWriMo Experience

At last, I made myself join the famous writing movement along with other writers around the world. It's the National Novel Writing Month, AKA NaNoWriMo. It's basically a challenge to encourage any writer, from all levels and countries to write their novel-worthy ideas into words non-stop for 30 days until they reach 50,000 words, which is roughly 200 pages novel length. I won the challenge. When you win it, you get the badges and a certificate to congratulate you on your achievement. And you can use it as a foundation to your writing habit, because you have written 1,600 words a day and every day for a month. If you're a writer, you already know that writing can be easy and can be very hard. It's time consuming to think of each sentence to put down. You encounter a lot of obstacles like self-doubt and procrastination, distractions and daily responsibilities. So this challenge is quite a solid one. My advice is to be prepared.
